Seven steps in the To-Gather Tour 2012-2015
After 5 years the To-Gather Project (European Multiple Choice Identity) officially ended on 1-11-2011, but the TO-GATHER TOUR will go on.
Why and who?
Because we created a To-Gather Family consisting of 11 partners with coördinators and a team of colleagues. Important were also the experts and specialists in the fields
of education, music, dance, lay-out and art. Special thanks to the people from Poper for the website and to the Advisory Board for monitoring the project and protecting the high quality.
But the real superstars of To-Gather were 2500 young people, who turned the festivals into a great succes and who used the learning routes in practice.
During the project we are all standing on the shoulders of giants as Howard Gardner, Jeremy Rifkin, Mary Helen Immordino, Peter Sloterdijk, Manuel Castels, Norman Davies, Fred Korthagen and Kishore Mhabubani. In this way we could and can integrate newt and innovative ideas about education, history, pedagogy, brain-research, sociology, philosophy, music and art.
To-Gather is about what’s happening in the centre of the present society and what wil lor should happen in the future.
How and where?
1. The learning routes will be used in practice in schools in the participating countries. New countries will be ‘çonquered’: Germany, Egypt, Morocco, Oekraine, Rumania, Italy, Syria, Poland, Sweden
2. The toolkit will be used by schools that want to start to work with the learning arrangement such as the learning routes, the CDS, the clips or other material.
3. New To-Gather-Festivals will be organised in several European countries in 2012-2013
4. Training courses for teachers and Intensive Programmes for students will be organised (Kortrijk, Riga, Groningen, Istanbul and Koper).
5. The making of the book and the film ‘It’s hard to become who you are’ in 2012 and 2013. The book and the film are sources of information, inspiration and imagination for the youth of today.
6. The creation of links to other projects as Future of Learning (Harvard University), Mind Brain and Education, EMUNI and other new projects about young people, film, music, citizenship and migraton and globalisation.
7. The cooperation in working groups of the network of CiCe (2011-2014) and EMUNI.
‘And I see you there in the circle of the square’.
