The project-leader Wim Kratsbron and Svenja Hintz gave a workshop at the big conference of ESEC in Coimbra. The theme of the conference was ‘Innovation and Creativity', related to the European Year 2009.
Wim Kratsborn gave a lecture about the concept of To-Gather and played unplugged for a live audience. Together with Svenja Hintz a workshop with 75 participants was given about ‘A story of Europe'. In the story Europe is a young woman of 27 ‘ages' and she takes the reader to 27 important places in her life. Each group of the participants had to read one story about Europe in a certain time and at a special place such as Rome in 100AC, Paris in 1789 or Brussels in 2004. Furthermore these different ‘Europes' had to communicate with each other and they had to find out what and who Europe is. This ‘historical sensation' created a very emotional, interactive and inspiring atmosphere during the workshop. A student came to us to apologize that she didn't know anything about a historical event.
