TO-GATHER COURSES AND PROGRAMMES

In 2012 we will organise in-service courses for teachers at several places in Europe.

The aim is to use the concept and the material of To-Gather at the own school. It is essential to integrate it in the own curriculum, related to own educational system and culture.

The first course will be in Torhout Belgium from March 19-23.

Other courses will be organised in Groningen, Riga, Koper and Istanbul.

The course is part of the Comenius In-Service Training and this gives the participants the possibility to arrange some subsidy. For more information mail to the project leader Wim Kratsborn: w.kratsborn@planet.nl

GATHERING AT THE CICE CONFERENCE IN DUBLIN

From June 9 to 11 the annual CiCe Conference was organised in Dublin.

About 10 members of the To-Gather Family were present.

We did give a symposium about the theoretical background of the project emphasizing the use of sense openers, knowledge, creativity, real life learning and the five minds for the future.

The project leader Wim Kratsborn did present the teaser of the film ‘It’s hard to become who you are’ and did give the workshop ‘Do you want to be a movie star’. Participants could play and experience a scene from the film. Other workshops were given by Marijke van de Hel, Marjanca Kuscer and Hugo Verkest.

The participants at the conference were very interested in the project and especially in the future developments of the book, the film and the courses.

INTENSIVE PROGRAMME ‘FUTURE LEARNING’ FOR STUDENTS

In 2012 and 2013 the Intensive Programme ‘Create your future’ of 2 weeks will be organised for students at different places in Europe such as Groningen (October 2012), Torhout, Riga, Koper and Istanbul.

Students may experience the project by focussing on their own identity and their future profession.

WHAT’S NEXT?

The head-author Wim Kratsborn and five co-writers will work further on the book ‘It’s hard to become who you are’. The deadline is the end of 2012.

It will be a very special book, because it is written by ‘Europe’ herself in communication with young people from Europe, Northern Africa and the Arab world. Links will be made to twittering, music, internet, mobile gaming and reality.

Furthermore we will focus on the preparations for the film ‘It’s hard to become who you are’ by gathering money and finalizing the script and the pre-production. We hope to start the making of the film in May 2012. The premiere is in November 2013.
